The Main Hall and Counting Room form the beating heart of Banking Hall, where original 1920s marble columns soar upward to meet ornate Art Deco ceilings. We've watched countless guests pause mid-conversation, drinks in hand, simply to take in the sheer scale of the space above them. Those Grade II listed columns aren't just for show, they frame the room's natural flow between the built-in stage and parquet dance floor. During daylight hours, tall windows bathe the marble in soft light, while come evening, our lighting system transforms the space into something altogether more dramatic. We can seat 280 for dinner with proper elbow room, or open everything up for 700 guests when you're ready to make a serious impression. Up on the mezzanine, the Counting Room offers something different. The original brass-topped bar catches everyone's eye first, but it's the views over the Bank of England that really seal the deal. We find it works brilliantly as a VIP area during larger parties, or stands alone for more intimate gatherings of up to 140 seated. Bank Station sits right outside our doors, so your guests can arrive from anywhere in London without the usual transport headaches. The building's history as a financial powerhouse means every detail was designed to impress, from the hand-carved stonework to the restored period fixtures we've carefully maintained. Our technical setup handles everything modern events demand: Wi-Fi for hundreds of devices, full AV capabilities for presentations or performances, and a commercial kitchen ready for your chosen caterers. The permanent stage means bands and DJs can set up properly, while that dance floor has seen everything from first dances to corporate celebrations that went on well past midnight.
