The Lounge wraps around the corner of our ground floor, creating a pocket of privacy while keeping you connected to the energy of The Sterling. We've designed this space for groups who want their own zone without feeling completely cut off from the atmosphere that makes our venue special. Your guests will settle into the plush seating we've arranged throughout, a mix of comfortable chairs and bar stools that works whether you're hosting seated dinners or drinks receptions. The geometric light fixtures overhead cast warm patterns across the room as evening falls, while during the day, those floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and frame views of the City's ever-changing skyline. We've positioned a dedicated bar right within The Lounge, stocked with the same premium spirits, carefully chosen wines and craft beers you'll find in our main bar. Your bartender stays close at hand, mixing cocktails without anyone having to venture far from conversations. The space comfortably holds up to 110 guests for standing receptions or 100 seated, though we find it feels most natural with around 65 for cocktail-style events. Corporate groups particularly appreciate the full AV setup we've installed here, perfect for presentations before the party properly begins. Birthday celebrations often start with dinner service before the seating gets rearranged for dancing. Engagement parties love how the semi-private setting lets them control the guest list while still feeling part of something bigger. The beauty of The Lounge lies in its flexibility. Open the space up to flow into our main bar area, or keep it as your own private corner of this iconic building. Either way, you're right at the base of The Gherkin with all major transport links nearby, making arrivals and departures straightforward for everyone.
