The grand windows of our Ballroom offer something quite special - Cardiff Castle stands majestically in view, creating a backdrop that captures every couple's imagination. We've watched countless wedding photographs being taken against these windows, the medieval towers providing a uniquely Welsh setting for your celebration. Our Ballroom accommodates up to 350 guests for theatre-style ceremonies, though most wedding receptions we host seat between 150-250 guests comfortably at round tables. The space adapts beautifully to your vision - we've arranged intimate gatherings of 60 in U-shaped configurations for wedding breakfasts, and grand banquets for 250 with space for evening entertainment. The flexibility extends to cabaret-style layouts too, perfect for 150 guests when you want dining and dancing areas clearly defined. The ceiling's adjustable lighting system transforms throughout your day. We dim them for romantic first dances, brighten them for speeches, and create ambient effects during dinner service. The warm-toned walls and patterned carpeting provide an elegant canvas that complements both traditional Welsh wedding themes and contemporary minimalist designs we've hosted. Our events team coordinates with Graze Bar & Restaurant to craft wedding menus featuring Welsh ingredients. From canapés during your drinks reception to late-night wedding cake service, the kitchen team creates dishes that reflect local flavours. The Ballroom opens directly onto our pre-function area, where guests naturally gather for arrival drinks and between ceremony and reception. Getting here couldn't be simpler - Cardiff Central Station sits nearby for guests arriving by train, while those flying in from Cardiff International Airport reach us in about 30 minutes. Your wedding party will appreciate our 202 air-conditioned rooms, many offering those same castle views. The heated indoor pool and steam room in our Health Club prove particularly popular with wedding parties the morning after celebrations.
