Climb aboard The Golden Hinde and claim Sir Francis Drake's legendary galleon for your celebration. When you book the entire ship, every deck becomes your playground, from the atmospheric Hold with its massive wooden beams to the cannon-lined Gun Deck where Tudor sailors once slept between battles. The Hold serves as our main event space, where we can welcome up to 120 guests for drinks receptions or seat 40 for dinner parties. We've dressed this space countless ways, wrapping fairy lights around the ancient timbers and draping tables in rich fabrics that complement the ship's warm wood tones. Above, the Gun Deck tells its own stories with full-size replica cannons that children love to pose beside, while adults often prefer the Great Cabin's more intimate atmosphere, perfect for toasts and speeches. Your guests can wander freely between all five decks, discovering the Armoury's collection of Elizabethan weapons and stepping out onto the Main Deck for Thames views with Tower Bridge as backdrop. We're moored at St. Mary Overie Dock, just a few minutes' walk from London Bridge station, making arrivals straightforward even in party attire. We work with external caterers who know their way around our galley limitations, delivering everything from elegant canapés to full seated dinners. Our bar stocks wines, spirits and beers, and we can arrange entertainment that fits the maritime setting, whether that's sea shanties for a pirate-themed birthday or a sophisticated jazz trio for corporate entertaining. The ship's narrow companionways and steep ladders add authentic character, though we always brief guests on safe navigation between decks. Each booking supports the ship's preservation and education programmes, keeping this floating piece of Tudor history alive for future adventurers while creating unforgettable moments for yours.
