The painted gaze of royalty watches over every celebration in our Livery Hall, where Herbert Draper's magnificent Shakespearean ceiling scenes have been inspiring guests since the 19th century. We've hosted everything from grand weddings to fashion shows in this remarkable space, and each event brings its own magic to these historic walls. At 23.60 metres long and 11.80 metres wide, our hall gives you the flexibility to create exactly the atmosphere you're after. We can arrange seating for 276 guests at round tables for wedding breakfasts, or configure the space for up to 450 people during cocktail receptions. For corporate presentations, the theatre-style layout accommodates 350 attendees, while cabaret arrangements work beautifully for 140 guests when you want conversation to flow as freely as the champagne. The room's collection of royal portraits and ceremonial silver pieces catches the light streaming through our windows, creating an ever-changing backdrop throughout your event. Many of our rail back chairs date to the reign of William IV, adding authentic period character that modern venues simply can't replicate. We've installed contemporary PA systems and microphones that blend seamlessly with the historic surroundings, ensuring speeches and toasts reach every corner of the room. Film crews have used our Livery Hall as a stand-in for Buckingham Palace, which tells you something about the calibre of the space. Yet despite this grandeur, the room maintains an intimacy that makes guests feel welcomed rather than overwhelmed. The gold detailing and architectural features provide natural focal points for photographers, while the Shakespearean scenes overhead have sparked countless conversations during dinner service.
