The Bar at Hoppers King's Cross becomes your own Sri Lankan beach club when you book it for private events, complete with an extended iron-clad bar where our mixologists shake up tropical swizzles and pour fresh-tapped house beers throughout your celebration. We've carved out this semi-private corner of our restaurant to give groups their own territory while keeping the energy of the main dining room close by. Cast iron-framed glass lanterns throw warm light across hand-carved wooden masks we've brought from Sri Lanka, creating shadows that dance on terracotta floors designed to echo coastal sand. Your guests can gather around high-top dining tables perfect for sharing plates of our signature Kalupol roast chicken and seafood grills, or simply lean against the bar with a rum cooler in hand. The space holds 50 friends standing comfortably, or seats 40 for a proper sit-down feast. Natural light pours through large windows during afternoon parties, while evenings bring out the glow of our lanterns against the wooden carvings. We keep the air conditioning running and Wi-Fi connected, practical touches that make long celebrations comfortable. Our bartenders know every drink on the menu backwards, from coconut-heavy batidas to arrack-based classics, and they'll keep your glasses full while platters of beach-side snacks circulate through the crowd.
