The Wedding Venue at Norton Grange transforms from Georgian drawing room to celebration space with remarkable grace. Sunlight pours through tall windows throughout the day, playing across the chandeliers that our events team polish to perfection before every ceremony. We've hosted everything from intimate ceremonies of 60 to grand receptions of 224 guests standing, with the room adapting beautifully to each couple's vision. Rich burgundy sashes dress the chairs, chosen specifically to complement the floral-patterned carpet that's become something of a signature here. The space works equally well for traditional banquet layouts (140 guests), theatre-style ceremonies (220 guests), or relaxed cabaret arrangements (110 guests). We particularly love setting up the room in U-shape formation for smaller wedding breakfasts, creating that intimate family feeling even in such a grand space. The floral arch frames ceremonies perfectly, positioned where the light catches it best in photographs. Our events coordinators know exactly where to place everything, from the registrar's table to the string quartet, having orchestrated hundreds of weddings over the years. The versatility extends to receptions too, with the room flowing naturally from ceremony to cocktails to dancing. Five minutes from Castleton station by taxi, though most wedding parties appreciate our extensive free parking. The A57 brings you straight here from Manchester, past those tree-lined lanes that set the scene beautifully. Our wedding licence covers civil ceremonies, and the kitchen brigade creates everything from canapés to five-course wedding breakfasts using local suppliers we've worked with for years.
