The Semi-Private Area wraps around the corner of our bar, where blue leather banquettes meet marble-topped tables and the disco ball catches light from Canal Street below. We've designed this space for groups who want their own territory without losing the energy of Velvet - you're next to the main bar but with your own defined area for 45 standing guests or 30 seated around those plush banquettes. Those deep blue leather seats run the length of the room, paired with geometric ottomans in teal and grey that guests pull up when conversations get interesting. During afternoon events, natural light pours through the large windows, showing off the rose gold details against our signature dark walls. Come evening, we dim the lights and that disco ball transforms the space, casting patterns across the dynamic carpet while your playlist sets the mood through our PA system. We've hosted 40th birthdays here where the birthday person held court on the banquettes while friends moved between our bar and their semi-private sanctuary. Corporate teams book it for product launches, using our flatscreen TV for presentations before the cocktails take over. The marble tables hold share plates from our kitchen perfectly, and being right next to the bar means your group's drinks arrive quickly, especially important when we're open until 2am on weekends. The space works because it gives you privacy without isolation. Your guests can slip out to our main bar to mingle, then return to your reserved area when they want to reconnect with your group. We keep the air conditioning running to combat the heat when your dance floor fills up, and our high-speed Wi-Fi handles whatever tech requirements your event needs. From Piccadilly Railway Station, it's a few minutes' walk down Canal Street to find us. The Piccadilly Gardens tram stop is even closer, making arrivals simple for your guests.
