The Quayside Room sits three floors up in our Georgian warehouse, where bare brick walls meet original timber beams that have weathered centuries of dockland trade. Those large arched windows frame West India Quay below, filling the space with natural light that shifts throughout the day, creating different moods as your event unfolds. We can configure this room to suit your needs, whether that's 150 guests mingling with drinks in hand, 100 seated for dinner, or 50 in theatre style for presentations. The exposed brickwork and industrial heritage create a backdrop that needs little dressing, though we've seen everything from corporate launches to birthday celebrations work brilliantly here. Our cabaret setup for 40 works particularly well when you want conversation to flow between tables, while the boardroom arrangement for 25 creates an intimate setting for strategic discussions. The room comes equipped with everything you'd expect: WiFi throughout, projector and screen for presentations, and a PA system that handles both background music and speeches. Our in-house kitchen prepares everything from working lunches to three-course dinners, with menus that accommodate halal, kosher, vegan and gluten-free requirements without fuss. Being on the third floor means your guests get those water views without street-level distractions. The DLR stops practically at our doorstep via Westferry or West India Quay stations, making it simple for guests coming from the City or Canary Wharf. We do get feedback that the room can warm up on particularly sunny days, even with windows open and air conditioning running, so summer events might benefit from lighter clothing choices. What sets the Quayside Room apart is how the museum setting adds an unexpected element to your event. Guests can explore our galleries during breaks or incorporate them into evening receptions, giving your gathering a cultural dimension that sparks conversation long after they've left.
