The Widdowson opens up beneath the railway arches with exposed brick walls curving overhead, creating an intimate semi-private space that feels both industrial and inviting. We've designed this room specifically for groups who want their own area whilst still feeling connected to the energy of our venue. At the heart of The Widdowson, you'll find our signature high-tech shuffleboards ready for action. These aren't just tables; they're conversation starters that get everyone involved, whether you're hosting drinks for colleagues or celebrating a birthday. The digital scoring systems and multiple game modes mean there's always a new challenge, and we've positioned comfortable bar stools around the shuffleboards so spectators can cheer on the players whilst enjoying their drinks. Our dedicated bar sits within the room itself, stocked with everything from our signature cocktails to those famous slushies that have become somewhat legendary amongst our regular groups. The bartender stays with you throughout your event, meaning no queuing and more time for what matters - your celebration. We've also installed a large screen that can display your company logo or party messages, adding that personal touch to your gathering. The space comfortably accommodates up to 55 guests for standing receptions, with the arched ceiling and clever lighting creating different zones for mingling, playing, and relaxing. Plants and artwork break up the brickwork, whilst our PA system handles everything from background music to speeches when needed. The room stays comfortable year-round thanks to air conditioning, and complimentary Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected. Being just minutes from London Bridge station on Bermondsey Street makes arrival straightforward for your guests.
