Rustic wooden tables fill our Secret Garden, each draped with soft blankets that guests wrap around their shoulders as the evening air cools. This outdoor hideaway at Exhibit Bar sits just off Balham Station Road, tucked behind the main building where strings of lights weave through hanging plants overhead. The fully covered perspex roof means April showers or December frost won't spoil your plans, we've hosted everything from summer birthday parties to winter wedding receptions in this versatile space. The garden holds 100 guests for standing receptions or 60 seated around our weathered wooden tables. Vibrant foliage climbs the walls while fairy lights cast patterns across the leaves, creating that intimate atmosphere you want for milestone celebrations. Our private bar anchors one end of the space, where bartenders mix cocktails using herbs snipped from the planters dotting the perimeter. During summer afternoons, sunlight filters through the transparent roof, warming the wooden surfaces and bringing out the green in all that surrounding plant life. Come winter, we switch on the outdoor heaters and add extra blankets to each seat. The space takes on a completely different character, fairy lights glowing against frost-touched windows while guests huddle together over mulled wine. We've installed a flatscreen TV for those who want to screen presentations or videos during their event, plus a PA system that handles everything from background music to heartfelt speeches. Transport couldn't be simpler with Balham Station practically on our doorstep. The Secret Garden works brilliantly for cocktail parties where guests mingle among the greenery, sit-down dinners under the stars, or dancing until late with the lights twinkling overhead. Our events team helps coordinate catering, decorations, and any special requirements to ensure your celebration unfolds exactly as you've imagined it.
