Every winter we transform our first-floor private room into The Hideaway, a ski lodge that brings Alpine warmth to Balham. Think of your favourite mountain cabin, complete with crackling fireplace, stacked logs, and booth seating that makes everyone lean in for conversations over mulled wine. The cream-coloured booths wrap around intimate circular tables, while our industrial pendant lights cast the kind of glow you'd find in an après-ski bar. That central fireplace, framed by a rustic mirror, becomes the natural gathering point where groups cluster with drinks in hand. We've kept the classic black-and-white checkered flooring, which somehow works perfectly with the cabin aesthetic we've created. For parties, The Hideaway holds 50 standing or seats 15 comfortably around the booths. Your own private bar means no queuing, while our HD projector and wide-screen TVs handle everything from presentations to party visuals. Those two photo walls we've installed have captured thousands of birthday moments, hen parties, and Christmas celebrations. Our in-house DJ hooks straight into the room's sound system, though the space works equally well for quieter gatherings where conversation flows as freely as the winter cocktails. Getting here couldn't be easier with Balham Station just moments away. We're on Balham Station Road, right in the thick of things, which means your guests can jump on the Northern line or overground and be with you in minutes. The room sits on our first floor, separate enough from the main bar action below but still connected to the Exhibit Bar energy that keeps this place buzzing until 2 AM on weekends.
