The Oak Room stands as the crown jewel of our Victorian building, where original oak panels line the walls and hand-carved details catch the light from our cut-glass chandeliers. We've hosted countless celebrations here, from wedding receptions with 120 guests mingling beneath the ornate ceiling to milestone birthday parties arranged cabaret-style for 80 of your closest friends. The imposing fireplace becomes a natural focal point for photographs, while those floor-to-ceiling windows frame views across our gardens to York Minster, creating a backdrop that needs no decoration. We configure the space based on your celebration, whether that's theatre seating for 160 guests at a awards ceremony or a more intimate arrangement for a golden anniversary dinner.
