The Roof Terrace hovers above history, suspended beneath Foster + Partners' spectacular barrel-vaulted glass ceiling. From this contemporary perch, your guests look down through glass walls into the museum galleries below, where centuries of stories unfold beneath their feet. We've hosted everything from champagne receptions to product launches up here, and the effect never fails to captivate. During daylight events, the curved glass roof floods the space with natural light, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere as shadows shift across the polished floors. Come evening, our lighting system transforms the terrace into something more theatrical. We can dial up the drama for a party atmosphere or keep things subtle for corporate presentations, working with the architecture rather than against it. The space comfortably holds 240 guests for standing receptions, with plenty of room for people to circulate between the bar stations we position at either end. For seated dinners, we configure round tables for 150, leaving generous space for service and movement. The open floor plan means we can adapt layouts quickly, whether you need a central stage for speeches, a dance floor for later, or distinct zones for networking. Our AV capabilities match the contemporary setting, with discreet speakers integrated throughout and projection options that work even with the abundant natural light. The acoustics handle both background music and presentations equally well, thanks to the clever engineering of the glass structure above. Just minutes from both Lambeth North and Waterloo stations, your guests won't struggle to find us. The contrast between arriving through our historic entrance and emerging onto this floating modern platform creates a genuine sense of occasion, making the Roof Terrace particularly memorable for milestone celebrations, launches, and gatherings where you want the venue itself to spark conversation.
