The Boardroom welcomes you with the warmth of its original fireplace and the gentle light filtering through three tall sash windows. This west-facing room, dedicated to Passmore Edwards, combines the character of our 1898 building with everything modern meetings require. Polished wooden floors reflect the natural daylight that fills the space throughout the day, while carefully positioned artwork adds personality to the walls. When presentations demand it, the blackout options on each window transform the room into a focused workspace. We've found this flexibility particularly useful for video conferences, where controlling light levels makes all the difference. The fireplace serves as more than decoration; it creates a focal point that naturally draws people together. Many of our regular clients tell us this feature helps break down formality, encouraging the kind of open discussion that boardrooms sometimes struggle to achieve. The room comfortably seats 15 in traditional boardroom style, though we can reconfigure for theatre-style presentations accommodating 26, or even host informal cocktail gatherings for up to 30 guests. The room we had was lovely - a little small but we were able to spread out into the courtyard, so that was great. Staff on site were 100% helpful and professional the whole day. Will definitely use again.
