Our Kanagaki Suite sits on the first floor, flooded with daylight from windows that frame George Street below. The black-and-white manga panels covering the walls aren't just decoration, they tell the story of Kanagaki Robun, the 19th-century writer who brought yakiniku grilling to Japan and inspired everything we do here. The room works harder than most meeting spaces in Bath. For board meetings, we configure the tables for 14 people with plenty of elbow room for laptops and papers. Theatre-style presentations fit 40 comfortably, while drinks receptions can accommodate up to 60 guests moving between the bar and seating areas. The plush banquettes along one wall provide a relaxed spot for breakout conversations, while our central tables can be arranged however your meeting demands. That bar we mentioned? It's stocked with over 30 sakes and Japanese whiskies that most venues wouldn't know how to pronounce, let alone pour. During breaks, your team can sample something they've never tried before, though coffee and tea are always on hand for those keeping things traditional. The natural light changes throughout the day, bright for morning strategy sessions, softer as afternoon workshops wind down. We've installed proper blinds for presentations, plus a flatscreen TV that connects easily to laptops. The Wi-Fi handles video calls without that awkward freezing that kills momentum. Our location at 4 Princes Buildings puts you right in Bath's centre, walking distance from the train station and most hotels. The separate entrance means your group can come and go without walking through the main restaurant, maintaining privacy for sensitive discussions. We handle the catering in-house, from working lunches of sushi platters and bento boxes to more substantial meals if your meeting runs long. Everything's made fresh in our kitchen downstairs, where the robata grill turns out dishes you won't find in typical meeting venues.
