The Piper Room at our venue brings together contemporary design with historic character, creating a productive environment for your next meeting. This ground floor space catches your eye immediately with its vibrant red carpet and the remarkable John Piper tapestry from 1968, whose bold colours and patterns provide an inspiring backdrop for discussions and presentations. We've designed this room to adapt to your meeting needs. Set up theatre-style, we can accommodate 100 delegates comfortably, while boardroom configurations work perfectly for 34 participants around the table. For workshop-style sessions, our cabaret layout seats 63, giving each group their own space to collaborate. The flexibility extends to U-shaped arrangements for 31 people, ideal for training sessions or interactive presentations. Natural light flows through the room throughout the day, keeping your attendees energised and focused. We've equipped the space with everything you need for smooth presentations: a built-in sound system, wireless microphones, projector and screen, plus reliable WiFi throughout. The technical setup handles everything from straightforward PowerPoint presentations to more complex multimedia requirements. Located right next to our Entrance Hall, the Piper Room works brilliantly as a standalone meeting space or as a breakout area when you're hosting larger conferences in our main hall. This positioning means your delegates can move easily between sessions, coffee breaks and networking moments without losing momentum. Our in-house catering team serves working lunches, coffee breaks and afternoon refreshments using seasonal British ingredients sourced locally. Whether you need a quick sandwich lunch between sessions or a more substantial meal to fuel afternoon discussions, we handle all catering requirements directly from our kitchen. The room regularly hosts board meetings, training workshops, seminars and strategy sessions, with our experienced team supporting you from initial planning through to the day itself.
