Mary Ward Hall Step through the grand doorway on our first floor and you'll find yourself in Mary Ward Hall, where 18.7 metres of space stretches before you beneath gracefully arched ceilings that rise 7.5 metres high. This is where our venue truly comes into its own, with those magnificent windows running along both sides, catching morning light that plays across the original period features throughout the day. We've hosted everything from 350-person conferences in theatre style to more intimate banquet setups for 220, and the hall adapts beautifully to each format. The built-in stage anchors one end of the room, complete with an integrated screen that saves setup time when you're running presentations. Our cabaret arrangement works particularly well here, seating 220 comfortably with space for networking between tables, while cocktail receptions can welcome up to 400 guests who invariably comment on the architectural details, from the fine busts to the period fireplaces we've carefully preserved. The natural cooling system means your delegates stay comfortable without any mechanical hum disrupting speakers, and we can adjust the dimmable lighting to suit PowerPoints or panel discussions as needed. The room we had was lovely - a little small but we were able to spread out into the courtyard, so that was great. Staff on site were 100% helpful and professional the whole day. Will definitely use again.
