Room 1 sits on the first floor of our Edinburgh venue, where those towering windows frame Belgrave Square in all its historic splendour. We've watched countless presentations come alive on our 98-inch LCD monitor while delegates pause mid-sentence, caught by the view of the square's central garden below. The space works hard for different meeting formats. Yesterday we hosted 24 executives around our boardroom table, today we're setting up theatre-style rows for a 90-person seminar, and tomorrow evening we'll clear the chairs entirely for a networking reception hosting 120. The original 19th-century fireplace remains a conversation starter, particularly when paired with morning coffee on the adjoining balcony terrace. Our AV setup includes both the LCD monitor and a projector, giving presenters options depending on their content. The integrated sound system means no fiddling with cables or external speakers. We've all been in meetings where the Wi-Fi buckles under pressure, so we've invested in a system that handles everyone's laptops, tablets and phones simultaneously without breaking a sweat. The ante-room adjacent to Room 1 serves as both a catering station and cloakroom, keeping the main space uncluttered. When you need more capacity, we can open up Room 2 alongside, creating a combined space for 200 delegates. This flexibility proves particularly useful for company-wide meetings that include breakout sessions. Natural light pours through those floor-to-ceiling windows from early morning through to evening, reducing the need for artificial lighting during daytime events. The high ceilings prevent that closed-in feeling common in corporate meeting spaces, while the balcony offers a proper outdoor break area, not just a fire escape masquerading as a terrace. Transport links put you within easy reach of Edinburgh's main stations, making arrival straightforward for both local and travelling attendees.
