The Freemen's Room sits at the heart of our Georgian building, where morning light pours through tall windows onto rich wooden panels that have witnessed centuries of City gatherings. We've hosted everything from product launches to charity auctions in this versatile space, and the room adapts beautifully to each occasion. Those ornate chandeliers overhead aren't just decorative, they provide excellent lighting whether you're presenting quarterly figures or hosting an awards ceremony. The historical paintings lining our walls often become conversation starters during networking breaks, while the high ceilings ensure your 100 standing guests never feel cramped. For seated events, we can accommodate 82 for banquets, 70 in theatre style, or create more intimate arrangements with 42 in cabaret format. Our audio-visual equipment integrates seamlessly into the period features, so your presentations look sharp without compromising the room's character. The patterned carpet helps with acoustics, something our regular corporate clients particularly appreciate during all-day conferences. We can configure the space as boardroom style for 30, U-shaped for 40, or any custom layout your meeting requires. The natural light changes throughout the day, creating different moods that work surprisingly well for various event types. Morning strategy sessions benefit from the bright, energising atmosphere, while afternoon workshops enjoy the softer light filtering through our patterned curtains. The wooden panelling provides excellent sound insulation from the rest of the building, ensuring privacy for sensitive discussions. Transport couldn't be simpler in our City of London location, with multiple tube stations and bus routes within walking distance. Our in-house catering team works directly with you to create appropriate refreshments, from working lunches to formal dinners, all prepared in our own kitchens.
