The Theatre lives in the curved embrace of our original church sanctuary, where 350 wooden pews rise in gentle tiers beneath soaring Gothic arches. Each seat offers clear views of the stage, thanks to the raked gallery floor that follows the building's historic contours. When conference delegates settle into these century-old pews, they often comment on how the space immediately feels different from typical meeting venues, the carved woodwork and vaulted ceiling creating an atmosphere that encourages fresh thinking. For presentations, our large projection screen sits centre stage, with the podium positioned where ministers once stood. The acoustics here are remarkable, originally engineered for unamplified voices to reach every corner during services, they now carry speakers' words with exceptional clarity. We've found this natural sound quality means less reliance on microphones, creating more authentic connections between presenters and audiences. The Gothic windows that punctuate the walls do more than provide character, they flood the space with daylight that shifts throughout your meeting, keeping energy levels naturally high. During afternoon sessions, warm light plays across the wooden surfaces, creating an environment that photographs beautifully for those important conference moments. Our team regularly transforms this space to suit different meeting formats. For boardroom discussions, we can accommodate 32 people in an intimate configuration. Banquet-style seating works wonderfully for 90 guests when you need tables for workshops or working lunches. The full theatre layout seats 270 comfortably, while standing receptions can welcome up to 350 attendees for networking events. Being on Keppoch Street means your delegates can reach us easily via Cardiff's bus network, with the train station nearby for those travelling from further afield. While we don't have dedicated parking, several public options sit within walking distance. We've ensured full accessibility throughout, including lift access to all levels.
