The Council Chamber brings together everything that makes our venue special, with its magnificent domed ceiling creating an atmosphere you won't find anywhere else in North London. We've watched countless board meetings transform under the warm glow of our central chandelier, its Art Deco design casting patterns across the Australian walnut timber panelling that lines the walls. This remarkable space works brilliantly for different occasions. Corporate clients particularly appreciate the theatre-style seating that accommodates 83 guests, with 53 seats on the main floor and 30 more in the balcony, perfect for presentations where everyone needs clear sightlines. For board meetings, we configure the room for 30 in boardroom style, creating an environment where important decisions feel appropriately weighty. Wedding ceremonies here feel intimate despite the grand proportions, with natural light streaming through our arched windows onto the soft purple carpeting below. The ornate gold cornicing frames conversations beautifully, while the marble details catch morning light during breakfast meetings. We've noticed how the mahogany finishes seem to deepen the acoustics, making speakers' voices carry perfectly without amplification. Two small breakout spaces connect to the main chamber, useful when delegates need somewhere quiet for phone calls or when wedding parties want a moment before their entrance. Our private entrance means your guests arrive directly into this impressive space without navigating the rest of the building. The bus stop sits right outside our entrance on Stoke Newington Church Street, with regular services throughout the day. From Stoke Newington Overground station, it's an easy walk through the neighbourhood.
