Walking into Ballroom 1, the first thing that strikes you is the wall of glass stretching from floor to ceiling, revealing the River Irwell as it curves past the Calatrava Bridge. We've hosted hundreds of meetings here, and delegates always comment on how the natural light and views help them stay energised throughout long sessions. The room comfortably seats 175 in theatre style, though we often arrange it classroom-style for 100 when training sessions need desk space. For board meetings, we can configure a hollow square for 40, or set up cabaret rounds for 80 when workshops require group discussions. The ceiling-mounted projector and pull-down screen handle everything from PowerPoint presentations to video conferences, while our electronic blackout blinds give you complete control when you need to darken the room for presentations. Just outside, you'll find our exclusive pre-function area where delegates naturally gather during coffee breaks. We keep it stocked with refreshments throughout the day, and it works brilliantly for registration when you're expecting larger numbers. The fully stocked bar in the room itself comes in handy for those end-of-day networking sessions that often follow conferences.
