Those neoclassical pillars catch your eye first in the Voysey room, four of them standing like sentinels around a space that's hosted meetings for over a century. We find groups naturally gravitate towards the bow window area during breaks, where the curved glass creates an intimate alcove perfect for those sidebar conversations that often prove just as valuable as the main agenda. The room works beautifully for groups up to 40 in boardroom configuration, though we can stretch to 65 theatre-style when presentations take priority. The deep blue tiles surrounding the original fireplace make an excellent backdrop for speakers, while the high ceilings with their period crown moulding help voices carry without feeling overwhelming. Natural light pours in from multiple windows throughout the day, reducing that afternoon slump that plagues so many windowless meeting spaces. French doors open directly onto our courtyard, and we encourage groups to spill outside during breaks. Previous guests have told us how much they appreciated this outdoor access, particularly for networking sessions where the courtyard doubles their usable space. The solid wood floors have developed a warm patina over the decades, and combined with the 3.6-metre ceiling height, create an atmosphere that feels both grand and grounded. Our video conferencing setup handles hybrid meetings smoothly, while complimentary Wi-Fi reaches every corner. The natural cooling system keeps everyone comfortable without the background hum of air conditioning disrupting concentration. At 9.9 by 8.9 metres, the unusual shape actually enhances different layouts, whether you need banquet seating for 60 or reception space for 80. Transport links put you minutes from major stations, making the Voysey an accessible choice for delegates traveling from across London. The room we had was lovely - a little small but we were able to spread out into the courtyard, so that was great. Staff on site were 100% helpful and professional the whole day. Will definitely use again.
