Our Thackeray Room combines the grandeur of ground floor Edwardian architecture with everything your modern meeting requires. Natural light pours through the tall windows, their classical drapery framing views across Bloomsbury while intricate ceiling moldings and period wall paneling create an atmosphere that feels both professional and welcoming. We've designed this space to adapt to your needs, whether you're hosting 14 colleagues around the boardroom table, arranging classroom seating for 18, or presenting to 40 in theatre style. The room works equally well for training sessions, board meetings, seminars or those more formal occasions when you need somewhere special for private dining or receptions. Recent technology upgrades mean you'll find an LCD projector paired with a 100-inch screen, plus a plasma display with Click & Connect functionality for seamless screen sharing. Air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable during intensive sessions, and we've been actively improving our Wi-Fi infrastructure following client feedback about connectivity, recognising how essential reliable internet has become for corporate events. The historical artwork adorning our walls adds cultural depth without overwhelming the space, while the warm lighting creates an environment where people feel focused yet relaxed. For breaks, our ground floor location means quick access to refreshments, with our events team on hand to arrange everything from morning coffee to working lunches. Being moments from Holborn tube station makes arrival straightforward for your delegates, and should anyone need accommodation, our 129 en-suite rooms are right here in the building. The British Museum sits just around the corner if you're planning post-meeting team activities, with Covent Garden's restaurants and theatres equally close for evening entertainment.

We had a corporate training day and the WiFi in the meeting rooms was very intermittent we had to tether off a colleagues phone for 4 hours
