When you combine the Alexandra Room with the northern section of our Empress Suite, something special happens. These two spaces flow together to create one of our most versatile meeting areas, where Victorian grandeur meets modern functionality. The moment delegates enter through the private entrance, they find themselves in a space that breathes Brighton's coastal elegance. We've preserved the original architectural details here, from the ornate ceiling work to the rich wood paneling that speaks to our 160-year heritage. The high ceilings create an airy feel that helps ideas flow, while the carefully designed lighting keeps everyone focused yet comfortable throughout long meeting days. Our patterned carpeting absorbs sound beautifully, so even when you have 350 delegates in theatre style or 300 at round tables for a banquet, conversations remain clear. The private foyer works brilliantly for registration or networking breaks, and having dedicated bathrooms means no queuing during coffee breaks. We've equipped the space with our latest AV technology, including hybrid meeting capabilities, so remote participants feel just as engaged as those in the room. The flexibility really shows when you're planning different session formats. We can set up 84 for cabaret style, arrange U-shaped seating for 46, or create a boardroom atmosphere for 42 executives. Being just 10 minutes from Brighton Station makes arrival stress-free for your delegates, whether they're coming from London Victoria (55 minutes) or flying into Gatwick (30 minutes). Once here, the seafront location adds something intangible to meetings, that sense of openness and possibility you get from being by the water.
