The Derwent room greets you with its distinctive blue accent wall, a thoughtful design choice that energises the space without overwhelming it. We've found this 10.5m x 9m room works particularly well for training sessions and departmental meetings, with natural light streaming in to keep everyone alert through those afternoon sessions. Our venue designed this ground-floor space with flexibility in mind. Whether you need theatre seating for 60 delegates, a boardroom setup for 24, or classroom style for 32 participants, the ergonomic chairs and adaptable layout make transitions straightforward. The U-shaped arrangement for 18 works brilliantly for interactive workshops where everyone needs to see each other clearly. The ceiling-mounted projector and large screen are already positioned for optimal viewing from every seat, and we keep a DVD/Blu-ray player and CD player ready for multimedia presentations. Display rails run along the walls for posting materials, while flipcharts provide additional options for brainstorming sessions. For delegates with hearing impairments, our induction loop system ensures everyone can fully participate.
