The Cavell Room sits on the lower ground level, part of our venue's Nightingale Suite, where the wooden-slatted ceiling creates an unexpectedly warm atmosphere for focused work sessions. We've watched countless teams transform this space, from tech startups running intensive training days to government departments conducting confidential briefings. Twenty-four colleagues fit comfortably around the boardroom table, though we can reconfigure for up to 40 in theatre style when you need presentation mode. The room adapts quickly: U-shape works brilliantly for 16-person workshops where everyone needs to see each other, while classroom layout suits 20 for note-heavy training sessions. Our cabaret setup accommodates 24 when you want smaller group discussions within the main session. The wooden panelling and neutral tones keep distractions minimal, while overhead lighting ensures consistent visibility throughout your day. We've installed a projector and screen that actually align properly, plus a flipchart for those spontaneous brainstorming moments. The flatscreen TV doubles as a presentation display, and our PA system means everyone hears clearly, even during lively Q&A sessions. Being below ground level means no outside distractions, which teams particularly appreciate during strategy sessions or sensitive discussions. The space connects seamlessly with other rooms in the Nightingale Suite when you need breakout areas or want to expand your event. Our Eden catering team brings refreshments directly to the room, from morning coffee and pastries through to working lunches. Victoria and Pimlico stations are both walkable in minutes, making morning arrivals straightforward for teams coming from different parts of London.
