The curved walls of the Dome Room follow the natural arc of our building's distinctive façade, creating a circular meeting space that immediately sets a different tone from rectangular boardrooms. Up to 18 delegates can gather around the round wooden table, where the absence of a traditional 'head' encourages more collaborative discussions, something our regular clients particularly value for strategy sessions and partnership meetings. Natural light streams through the tall windows throughout the day, offering views across to the Bank of England and Royal Exchange. We've found the golden chandelier overhead provides perfect ambient lighting as evening meetings progress, while the ornate columns and original mouldings remind everyone they're meeting in a building that's been part of London's business landscape since 1903. The room's acoustics work surprisingly well for video conferences, helped by the domed ceiling that naturally contains sound. We've equipped the space with a flatscreen TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and teleconferencing facilities that connect reliably with international teams. The flipchart stands ready for those who prefer traditional brainstorming methods alongside the digital tools. Our venue sits just steps from Bank Station, with Liverpool Street Station providing additional transport links that make arrival straightforward for attendees coming from across London or further afield. The Grade II listing means we maintain original features while ensuring modern functionality, including air conditioning that keeps the space comfortable year-round. We accommodate external catering when clients want to provide lunch or refreshments during longer sessions. The Dome Room books particularly well for board meetings, corporate presentations, and seminars where the circular layout helps create more engaging discussions than traditional setups allow.
