The Riverside Suite spreads across the upper floor of our venue, where original oak beams frame views of the River Trent through windows that run the length of the room. From here, you can watch boats drift past while your meeting progresses, or catch sight of our private island when planning takes a natural pause. We've arranged the space to work around your needs, with room for 150 people in theatre style when you're presenting to larger groups, or 50 in boardroom format for strategic discussions. The U-shaped and classroom configurations (both accommodating 50 and 40 respectively) prove particularly popular for training sessions, where the river views seem to help concentration rather than distract from it. Warm lighting from our traditional chandeliers plays across the patterned carpet, while the wooden beams overhead remind you this building has hosted gatherings since the 19th century. We've kept these period features while ensuring the practical elements work perfectly for modern meetings: reliable Wi-Fi reaches every corner, presentation equipment stands ready, and the acoustics carry voices clearly without echo. The peaceful setting makes a genuine difference to how meetings flow. Branston village keeps us removed from Burton-on-Trent's busier streets, though the A38 puts you just minutes from the town centre. During breaks, delegates often wander down to our gardens or simply stand by the windows watching the river, returning to discussions refreshed. Coffee arrives hot throughout the day, lunch comes fresh from our kitchen, and if you're staying overnight, 23 comfortable rooms wait downstairs. Some groups book the National Brewery Centre or Ashby de la Zouch Castle for evening activities, though many simply prefer drinks on our Riverside Terrace, continuing conversations as daylight fades across the water.
