The Merton Room sits just off our main Academy Conference Centre corridor, with direct access to a private breakout area where delegates naturally gather during coffee breaks. We've configured this ground floor space to work brilliantly for groups of up to 30, whether you're running training sessions, team meetings or client presentations. Step inside and you'll find 35 square metres of purposeful meeting space, with everything positioned for productive sessions. The projector and screen are mounted for clear visibility from every seat, while the flipchart stands ready for brainstorming sessions. We keep the room at a comfortable 2.7 metres high, which creates good acoustics without feeling cavernous. The neutral décor and focused lighting help maintain concentration throughout long working days. Our most popular setup is theatre style for 30 delegates, though we regularly reconfigure for 20 in classroom rows when note-taking matters, or arrange 18 seats around the boardroom table for more collaborative discussions. The cabaret layout works particularly well for workshop groups, accommodating 24 people at round tables. Being part of our dedicated Academy Conference Centre means your group benefits from our separate reception area and conference facilities, away from the main hotel traffic. The breakout space right outside provides a natural flow for networking between sessions. Our team ensures your AV equipment connects properly before you arrive, and we coordinate refreshment timings to match your agenda. Great Portland Street station is a seven-minute walk through Fitzrovia's quiet streets, while Regent's Park tube takes about the same time approaching from the north. Many groups appreciate having Oxford Street nearby for evening activities, and Regent's Park itself offers peaceful walking routes when you need fresh air between intensive sessions.
