Step through the doors of the Elgar Room and you'll find yourself in a space where focus comes naturally. Part of our larger Composers suite, this room honours Edward Elgar, who served as the University of Birmingham's first Professor of Music back in 1905, bringing a touch of cultural heritage to your business gatherings. We've designed this room with productivity in mind. The space comfortably seats 50 delegates in theatre style or 32 in cabaret layout, giving you flexibility for different meeting formats. Soft grey and white tones create a calm backdrop that helps maintain concentration throughout long sessions, while subtle artwork adds visual interest without becoming a distraction. Your presentations will shine on our large TV screen, positioned for clear viewing from every seat.
