The Braid Suite combines the grandeur of Victorian architecture with everything you need for productive meetings. Natural light pours through our large windows, illuminating original features like ornate mirrors and period candelabras that give the space its distinctive character. We've designed this suite to work for groups of all sizes, from intimate board meetings of 42 to larger conferences up to 180 delegates. The flexible layout means we can arrange the room exactly as you need it, whether that's classroom style for training sessions, theatre format for presentations, or U-shaped for interactive workshops. Our raised stage area works particularly well for keynote speakers or panel discussions. What sets The Braid Suite apart is its adjoining spaces. The Gathering Bar serves as your dedicated breakout area, complete with two 40-inch screens for displaying presentations or company messaging during coffee breaks. Step onto our private outdoor deck and your delegates can enjoy Edinburgh's skyline while networking, a refreshing alternative to windowless meeting rooms. The suite benefits from its own entrance directly from our car park, meaning your team can arrive and set up without navigating through the main hotel. This separate access proves especially useful for early morning starts or when you're bringing in equipment. Our checkerboard floor might catch your eye, though for corporate events we typically cover this to create a more professional atmosphere. The rear bar area converts easily into a refreshment station for all-day meetings or can serve welcome drinks if you're planning an evening reception after your conference. Being 2.5 miles from Edinburgh city centre with regular buses passing nearby, delegates find us easy to reach while appreciating the calmer setting away from the bustle.
