The Waverley Room combines Georgian elegance with contemporary functionality, making it one of our most requested spaces for board meetings and strategic planning sessions. Those tall sash windows that stretch nearly to the ceiling do more than provide natural light, they frame Edinburgh's historic rooftops while you work, creating an atmosphere that feels both professional and distinctly Scottish. We've arranged this room around a polished boardroom table that seats up to 11 people comfortably, though we can reconfigure the space for theatre-style presentations accommodating 20 delegates. The original architectural details remain beautifully preserved, from the ornate cornicing to the decorative mantelpiece, while modern touches like our presentation technology and high-speed Wi-Fi ensure your meetings run smoothly. Many clients appreciate how the room adapts to different needs. For intensive workshops, we often set up a classroom layout for 6 participants, allowing plenty of space for materials and breakout discussions. Corporate dinners work particularly well here too, with cabaret seating for 8 creating an intimate atmosphere for client entertainment or team celebrations. The neutral colour scheme, accented with fresh orchids and carefully chosen artwork, helps maintain focus during long sessions. We're just minutes from Waverley Station and the York Place tram stop, which our regular clients tell us makes scheduling back-to-back meetings across the city much easier. Between sessions, your delegates can make use of our hotel facilities. The Yu Spa downstairs, complete with heated pool and steam room, offers a welcome break during day-long events. For working lunches, our team coordinates catering from Liberté Brasserie, bringing Scottish-sourced dishes directly to your meeting or arranging private dining in the restaurant.
