The Sophia Hall transforms from cricket hospitality suite to Cardiff's most adaptable large-scale meeting space. With 900 square metres stretching beneath 8-metre ceilings, we configure this vast room to seat 800 delegates theatre-style, making it one of the city's largest conference venues. Our integrated audio-visual system handles everything from PowerPoint presentations to live video links, while the stage accommodates panel discussions and keynote speakers with equal ease. Natural light streams through the pavilion windows during daytime sessions, though we can blackout the space completely when presentations demand it. The hall's acoustic design, originally engineered for match-day announcements, ensures every word reaches your back-row attendees clearly. We regularly host AGMs, product launches, and industry conferences here. The space divides into smaller sections when you need breakout areas, or opens completely for exhibition-style networking. Our technical team manages lighting configurations that shift the mood from formal presentations to relaxed evening receptions, all controlled from our dedicated AV booth. Getting here couldn't be simpler. We're minutes from Cardiff city centre, with the River Taff and Bute Park providing a refreshing backdrop between sessions. Our free on-site parking accommodates hundreds of vehicles, while nearby train and bus connections serve those travelling without cars. During breaks, delegates often step onto our balconies overlooking the famous cricket pitch, or grab coffee while watching groundskeepers prepare the wicket. Our catering team serves Welsh-sourced refreshments throughout your event, from working lunches for 200 to formal dinners for 550.
