We've designed the Common Room as a bright, adaptable space where natural light pours through large windows overlooking the gardens. Purple accent walls add warmth to the contemporary interior, while our flexible layout accommodates everything from intimate board meetings of 20 to theatre-style presentations for 50 delegates. Your meetings take place against a backdrop of cathedral grounds, with the Campanile Garden visible through those generous windows. We find this connection to the outdoors helps keep energy levels up during long sessions. The room comes fully equipped with LCD projector, screen and hybrid AV equipment, so whether you're hosting remote participants or delivering presentations, the technology is ready when you are. Our furniture configuration changes to match your needs. For workshops, we arrange classroom style for 14 participants with plenty of table space. Board meetings work beautifully in our U-shaped setup for 20, encouraging discussion and collaboration. Training days often use cabaret style for 24, giving teams room to work together at round tables. During breaks, delegates naturally drift to the Campanile Garden just outside. We've noticed how these moments in the fresh air, surrounded by our historic setting, often spark the best conversations. The garden provides a peaceful contrast to focused meeting time, and many groups use it for informal discussions or team activities. Being part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site means your attendees experience something beyond a typical meeting venue. Limited parking is available by advance booking, and our location puts you within easy reach of Canterbury's transport links.
