Belair House stands as an 18th-century Georgian mansion where history meets celebration in West Dulwich. We've been hosting parties and special events in these rooms since our restoration, and every gathering benefits from the natural light streaming through our expansive windows, illuminating the original chandeliers and decorative fireplaces that have watched over centuries of celebrations. Our Grand Hall remains the heart of most parties here - those high ceilings and velvet drapes create an atmosphere you won't find in modern venues. When weather permits, we open the doors to the sun terrace, letting your guests flow between indoor grandeur and outdoor relaxation. The Ballroom serves as our brightest space, while the Gallery Bar, with its wood-paneled walls and curated artwork, becomes a natural gathering spot where guests retreat for quieter conversations. We're licensed for wedding ceremonies and can seat up to 74 guests for formal dining, though we regularly host evening receptions for up to 150 people. Our in-house catering team has developed menus that range from traditional three-course dinners to sharing platters and summer barbecues - whatever suits your celebration. The bar stocks our signature cocktails alongside seasonal craft beers, and we're always happy to discuss specific requests. Beyond weddings, we've hosted everything from milestone birthdays to corporate celebrations, and our distinctive rooms have even served as film locations. The herringbone parquet floors and period features throughout the house provide countless photo opportunities, while Belair Park's grounds offer a peaceful backdrop away from London's usual pace. Our events team works directly with you to ensure each space functions exactly as you need, whether that's transforming the Grand Hall for dancing or setting up the Gallery Bar for cocktail reception.
