Four stunning glasshouses greet you as you arrive at Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses, each one a gateway to our event spaces and a world of exotic plants. Just over a mile from Birmingham city centre, we've been hosting celebrations across our 15 acres for generations, watching countless couples exchange vows beneath tropical palms and helping businesses bring their teams together surrounded by Mediterranean citrus trees. Our Garden Suite opens directly from the Tropical House, where 500 guests can gather among towering banana plants and cascading vines. For more intimate meetings or celebrations, the Loudon Suite welcomes up to 60 people in a warm setting adjacent to our Subtropical collection. The Terrace Suite strikes the perfect balance, accommodating 250 guests with views across our landscaped grounds through floor-to-ceiling windows. Each glasshouse tells its own story - from the humid rainforest atmosphere of the Tropical House to the sculptural cacti in our Arid House. Corporate groups often start their day with coffee in our tearoom before moving to their chosen suite, while wedding parties love exploring the Mediterranean House with its fragrant herbs and citrus trees between ceremony and reception. Aramark, our award-winning catering team, works from our on-site kitchens to create everything from working lunches to five-course wedding breakfasts. They know our spaces inside out and can suggest menus that complement each season - perhaps incorporating edible flowers from our gardens in summer or warming soups for winter corporate events. We maintain extensive parking areas and our gift shop stays open for event guests who want to take home a piece of the gardens. As a charity, every booking helps us maintain these botanical collections and educational programs for future generations to enjoy.
