The sun catches on Tower Bridge through our wall of windows every evening around sunset—it's one of those moments that makes working at Blueprint Café special. We're up on the first floor of the old Design Museum building at Butlers Wharf, where the Thames curves just enough to give you this incredible sweep from Canary Wharf all the way to the City. Our space works brilliantly for parties because of how it flows. Those floor-to-ceiling windows run the entire length of the restaurant, and when we throw open the glass doors to the terrace in summer, the whole place transforms. We can fit 100 people for a sit-down dinner or pack in 200 for a standing reception with canapés and drinks. The neutral wooden floors mean you can dress the space however you like—we've hosted everything from black-tie wedding receptions to relaxed birthday parties where guests spilled out onto the terrace with champagne in hand. What really sets us apart is having our own private entrance. Your guests come straight up to the first floor without going through any other part of the building. When the weather's good, that outdoor terrace becomes the heart of the party. Even in winter though, those enormous windows keep the space bright and connected to the river below. Our Head Chef creates menus specifically for each event, working with whatever vision you have for your party. Need more room? We can open up the ground floor space too for bigger celebrations. The contemporary feel of the space—clean lines, lots of natural light—means it works just as well for corporate parties as it does for weddings.
