Our original Aberdeen bar still carries the marks from that first renovation back in 2010 - you can spot the sledgehammer work on the exposed brick walls and traces of spray paint that transformed this old Gallowgate building into what we are today. We're at 17 Gallowgate, right in the heart of Aberdeen, where we pour from 28 taps every day. The bar team here knows their stuff. They'll walk you through our own beers and the rotating selection from breweries like Mikkeller, Stone, and Oskar Blues. Dogs wander in with their owners, wheelchairs roll straight up to the bar, and everyone finds their spot in this deconstructed space we've called home for over a decade. Food-wise, we fire up sourdough pizzas all day, and yes, we've got those pizza hot dogs that people keep asking about. Half our menu is plant-based - proper vegan and vegetarian options, not afterthoughts. The cheese and charcuterie boards pair perfectly with whatever's on tap. We run a few regular things that make parties here different. Birthday groups of four or more drink free on us. Sunday Club means anyone 18-25 gets half off their food bill. During the week, our Desk Dog setup turns the space into a co-working spot - £10 gets you unlimited hot drinks, Wi-Fi that actually works, and a pint when you wrap up. The space works for all sorts of celebrations. Birthday parties spread across the communal tables, work leaving dos take over corners of the bar, and casual get-togethers happen organically around the taps. Being fully accessible means everyone in your group can join in, and we're always happy to see four-legged friends at parties too.
