We can accommodate up to 1,028 delegates in theatre-style seating, with every seat offering clear sightlines to the stage. Designed by architect John Speight, our building sits at the heart of the University of York's West Campus, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of the central lake. The natural light creates an energizing atmosphere for daytime conferences, while our professional lighting rig transforms the space for evening concerts and award ceremonies. Our technical capabilities match the scale of the venue. We've equipped the hall with a comprehensive sound system, full projection and AV setup, and backstage facilities that include multiple dressing rooms. When you're planning a conference with breakout sessions, the adjacent Exhibition Centre provides 900m² of flexible space—perfect for networking, poster displays, or parallel workshops. Getting here is straightforward, with on-campus parking and strong public transport links from York city center. For multi-day conferences, we can arrange accommodation in over 900 university bedrooms during summer months, keeping your delegates close to the action. Our catering team has earned recognition for their approach to conference dining, creating menus that showcase Yorkshire's seasonal produce. Whether you need working lunches for 500 or a formal dinner for distinguished guests, we work with local suppliers to accommodate all dietary requirements.
