The books lining our walls at Clerkenwell & Social aren't just for show – they're part of the story we tell here at 2-5 St John Square. Our literary-inspired design creates the perfect backdrop for your celebration, whether you're planning an intimate birthday gathering or a full-scale corporate party across our two floors. We've become known for our inventive cocktails, where our bartenders work with house-infused spirits to create drinks you won't find anywhere else. During happy hour – that's 2-for-1 cocktails from 8-10pm Monday to Thursday, and all day Friday and Saturday – the bar fills with groups discovering their new favorite concoction. Our Italian-inspired menu keeps the energy high, with sharing plates that get passed around tables and our handcrafted pizzas (also 2-for-1 at lunch from 12-3pm daily) disappearing as quickly as we can make them. The outdoor terrace has become our secret weapon for parties. When the weather cooperates, guests naturally spill outside, cocktails in hand, turning what starts as an indoor celebration into something that flows between spaces. We've hosted everything from 30th birthday bashes that take over the entire venue to corporate gatherings where teams bond over our signature drinks and hearty mains. Our location, just moments from both Farringdon and Barbican stations, means your guests can easily find us – and more importantly, easily get home after a night of celebrations. The versatility of our spaces means we can accommodate groups of all sizes, from small after-work drinks sessions to wedding celebrations that need room to properly toast the happy couple. Every weekend, we see how our eclectic atmosphere transforms ordinary gatherings into something more memorable, with groups staying longer than planned because they're genuinely enjoying themselves in our unique Clerkenwell space.
