Comedy runs through our veins here at The Frog and Bucket Comedy Club on 102 Oldham Street, right in Manchester's Northern Quarter. We've been the heartbeat of Manchester comedy for years, watching nervous first-timers transform into household names from our intimate cabaret-style room. Monday nights bring the legendary "Beat the Frog" open mic sessions - pure comedy chaos where 15 brave souls get five minutes each to make you laugh. The twist? You decide who stays on stage. These Monday nights have seen Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, John Bishop, Jason Manford, and Sarah Millican take their first tentative steps into comedy stardom. There's something electric about watching raw talent either soar or crash spectacularly. When Friday and Saturday roll around, we switch gears for "Barrel of Laughs" - our weekend showcases featuring national and international comedians who've mastered their craft. The laughter bounces off our walls as comedians work the room with material that's been honed across the country. We keep you well-fed and watered throughout the show. Our kitchen serves proper comfort food - loaded burgers, pizzas straight from the oven, sticky wings, crispy fries, loaded nachos, and fall-off-the-bone ribs. The bar stays busy all night, pouring pints and mixing drinks while comedians work their magic on stage. Our space works brilliantly for private parties and corporate events too. Product launches, office celebrations, or just post-work drinks - we've hosted them all. The combination of great comedy, solid food, and our central Manchester location makes any event here memorable.
