Peter Joseph brings his Michelin-starred expertise to our kitchen at Kahani, where we're writing the next chapter in London's centuries-old romance with Indian cuisine. Our Chelsea restaurant takes its name from the Hindi word for 'story', and every dish that emerges from our robata grill and tandoor tells one worth sharing. We've designed our space with soft, warm lighting that creates an intimate atmosphere throughout the dining room. The interiors blend contemporary touches with rich textures - think deep velvets and polished surfaces that catch the glow from our open kitchen. Our ground floor buzzes with the energy of regular service, while upstairs holds something special. The Peacock Room is our private dining jewel, wrapped entirely in royal blue velvet. We can accommodate up to 14 guests here, though the space feels equally comfortable with ten. Heavy curtains draw across to create complete privacy when you need it - perfect for those confidential business discussions or family celebrations where you want the world to yourselves. Our menu focuses on lighter interpretations of Indian dishes, with British seasonal ingredients meeting traditional spices on the grill.
