The tech activists who founded SPACE4 built something different here on Fonthill Road. We're a cooperative workspace where social innovators and purpose-driven teams actually shape how the space runs, not just rent desks and disappear. Our Finsbury Park location houses 28 desks - some claimed by permanent residents who've made this their base, others kept free for hot-desking members who drop in when they need focused work time. We've configured the space to work for solo entrepreneurs through to established teams. Companies often take a bank of our fixed desks to keep their people together, while freelancers appreciate the flexibility of our hot desk setup. Beyond the main workspace, we've created rooms that adapt to different needs. Our events room holds up to 50 people comfortably - one recent organizer mentioned they were impressed with our sound system during their gathering. The two meeting rooms each accommodate 10 people for workshops or team sessions, and we maintain a private office that seats six for groups needing dedicated space. The cooperative structure means everyone here actively contributes to the environment we're building. Tech-for-good projects, local businesses, and cooperatives form our core community. We run regular training sessions where members share expertise, and our sliding rate structure helps socially impactful projects access professional workspace and meeting facilities. Practically speaking, we've equipped SPACE4 with the essentials: reliable high-speed Wi-Fi throughout, projectors in meeting spaces, sound systems for presentations, and full kitchen facilities. Whether you're planning a conference, running weekly team meetings, hosting community workshops, or simply need desk space in an environment that values social impact, we've designed our offerings around real working needs rather than corporate aesthetics.
