We've been part of Shoreditch's creative scene for nearly 20 years at Strongroom Bar & Kitchen, right here with our recording studios where countless artists have laid down tracks. Our ivy-wrapped courtyard catches the afternoon sun perfectly, with strings of lights overhead that give everything a warm glow once evening rolls around. Inside, you'll spot vintage mixing desks and gold records on the walls – remnants from the studio next door that give our space its unique character. Our main bar flows into a 150-capacity room where we host live bands and DJs most nights. The exposed brick walls and industrial fixtures create an intimate atmosphere that works brilliantly for private parties. Downstairs, our basement dance floor opens up for bigger celebrations, and when you combine all our spaces including the courtyard, we can accommodate up to 300 guests for full venue takeovers. We pour craft beers from breweries you won't find everywhere else – both local East London favorites and international selections our bar team has discovered. Our kitchen serves up proper food with a modern twist, and we're particularly proud of our vegan and vegetarian dishes that even the meat-eaters order repeatedly. For private events, we handle everything from birthday parties and wedding receptions to corporate celebrations. The courtyard works beautifully for summer parties, while our indoor spaces keep the energy going year-round. We can section off areas for smaller groups or open everything up for larger celebrations. Our events team knows these spaces inside out and helps coordinate sound, lighting, and catering to match what you're planning. Being connected to the recording studios means we understand sound quality – whether that's for speeches, DJ sets, or live performances, we've got the technical setup sorted.
