Our century-old building on Marton Road has quite the story to tell. What began as St. John's Community Hall has transformed through decades of different lives - from church gatherings to Middlesbrough Theatre performances. Today, Studio 109 continues this creative legacy as a workspace where entrepreneurs and professionals bring their ideas to life. We started renovating in January 2018 with one clear vision: creating a home for small startups and individuals who need more than just a desk. The original architecture gives our space real character - you'll work surrounded by history while enjoying all the modern essentials. Our hot desks suit those who like flexibility, while fixed desks provide a consistent base for regulars. For teams needing privacy, we've created private studios within the building's original layout. The photography studio catches everyone's eye with its exposed brick wall - perfect for urban shoots and creative projects. Our Board Room turns meetings into something different; the walls are lined with skateboard decks, creating an energetic backdrop for your discussions. Eight people can gather comfortably around the table, and we've installed a 32" TV with wireless streaming for presentations. Daily practicalities are covered with high-speed WiFi throughout the building and printing services when you need them. The kitchen gives you space to prepare lunch or grab a coffee between tasks. We're also preparing to open our café to the public, which could become an interesting opportunity for someone looking to run a food business. Whether you're launching a startup, running a small business, or working as a creative professional, we've designed Studio 109 to support different working styles while maintaining that collaborative atmosphere that helps ideas grow.
