Our boat at The Boathouse London - Paddington East sits permanently moored in Merchant Square's Floating Pocket Park, where the gentle movement of the water creates a subtle rhythm throughout your event. We've designed the interior with clean Scandinavian lines - think light wood, comfortable seating, and windows that frame the canal views perfectly. The space works beautifully for groups up to 30 seated guests, whether you're planning a business meeting over breakfast or a five-course dinner celebration. We handle everything from working lunches to elaborate private dining experiences. Our kitchen team creates menus specifically for your event - perhaps sharing platters for a relaxed product launch, or individually plated courses for a wedding reception. The bar stocks a full range of wines, spirits and craft beers, though you're welcome to bring your own bottles for a corkage fee if you prefer. Film screenings work particularly well here; we can arrange the screen at one end while guests settle into the comfortable seating with drinks in hand. For smaller groups wanting something different, we offer our self-driven picnic boat that takes up to eight people. You captain it yourself along the canal towards Little Venice and Regents Park - we'll pack hampers and show you the basics before you head off. Back on Paddington East, the boat's adaptability means we've hosted everything from sunrise yoga sessions to late-night supper clubs. Being on the water changes the dynamic of any gathering; conversations flow differently when you're floating, and the usual boardroom atmosphere gives way to something more creative and relaxed.
