The Chapel Market Tavern has been pouring pints since 1805, right at the western edge of one of London's oldest street markets. We're just a short walk from Angel tube station, making us easy to find whether you're coming from north or south London. Our building tells its own story through exposed brick walls and original timber beams that have watched over two centuries of celebrations. We keep fifteen draft lines rotating with UK craft beers – you'll find everything from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, depending on what our brewers are sending us that week. Behind the bar, we stock specialist gins, small-batch whiskeys, and a wine selection we've chosen specifically to complement our food menu. Speaking of food, our kitchen turns out proper pub classics made fresh daily. Sunday roasts are particularly popular – we serve them with all the traditional accompaniments and Yorkshire puddings that could double as serving bowls. For parties, we can arrange platters and sharing boards that work well when people are mingling with drinks in hand. Our upstairs room transforms brilliantly for private events. With its own fully stocked bar, the space holds up to 70 people for standing receptions or 30 seated around tables for more formal dinners. The room has its own entrance, so your group feels properly separate while still enjoying the character of the building. We've hosted everything from 40th birthdays to company Christmas parties up there. For larger celebrations, you can take over the entire pub. We handle bookings for groups of four or more, though smaller parties are always welcome to drop in and see what tables we have free. The whole venue works well for any kind of party where you want that proper pub atmosphere without having to share the space with strangers.
