The original stone archway that welcomed travelers in the 16th century still frames the entrance to The Haycock Manor Hotel, though we've made quite a few improvements since our coaching inn days. Our 48 bedrooms each tell their own story through individual design choices—some overlooking the River Nene that runs through our 12 acres of gardens, others tucked into the original building's charming corners with exposed beams and period features. We've created 13 distinct spaces for meetings and celebrations throughout the property. The smallest seats just two people for intimate discussions, while our largest can accommodate 380 guests for grand weddings or conferences. Every room benefits from natural daylight, whether you're hosting a board meeting in one of our wood-paneled studies or celebrating your wedding in our riverside pavilion. The gardens themselves become an extension of our event spaces, particularly popular for drinks receptions and summer ceremonies. Our kitchen teams run two very different restaurants. At Prévost, our 3 AA Rosette restaurant, the chefs present modern British tasting menus that change with the seasons. Down in The Haycock Kitchen, holding 2 AA Rosettes, we serve heartier fare—think perfectly roasted meats and reimagined British classics. Both restaurants source from local Cambridgeshire suppliers where possible. For corporate groups looking for something different, our cookery school has become surprisingly popular for team-building. There's something about making pasta together that breaks down office hierarchies. We're in Wansford village, with medieval Stamford and its timber-framed buildings just minutes away—useful for delegates wanting to explore between sessions or wedding guests needing accommodation recommendations. Whether you're planning a wedding by the river or need a countryside setting for your next company conference, we have the space and experience to make it work.
